Columbus Blue Jackets +225 Toronto Maple Leafs -280 Total: 6

The Leafs are rather steep home favorites here and I think that is for good reason. The Maple Leafs' offense should be too much for the Jackets here, especially in Toronto. I will lay the puck line to make the price more bettable. 

Pick: Toronto Maple Leafs -1.5

Tampa Bay Lightning -190 Montreal Canadiens +165 Total: 5.5

I think the Bolts take care of business against a Canadiens team that is just a plain mess at this point. The Lightning have dealt with their injuries well and should earn another victory on the road here.

Nashville Predators -115 Detroit Red Wings -105 Total: 5.5

I like the Red Wings here as the home dog. Detroit is off to a 13-9-3 start to the season and has played well, even without Bertuzzi in the lineup. On a five-game win streak, there is no reason to doubt the Wings here.

Anaheim Ducks -125 Buffalo Sabres +105 Total: 6

The last time these two teams played, the Ducks were the better team for a majority of the game despite the OT loss. I think Anaheim gets some revenge here and beats up on a Sabres team that is regressing back to form from a season ago.

Carolina Hurricanes -105 Winnipeg Jets -115 Total: 5.5

This is a game I would rather watch than bet, as we have two teams that are certainly contenders in their respective divisions. If I had to pick a side, I would take the Jets at home only having to lay -115 odds.

Florida Panthers -135 St. Louis Blues +115 Total: 6

I like the Cats on the road here to beat the Blues for the second straight game. It is tough to sweep a home-and-home, but the Panthers have the team to do so and the Blues have lost four of their last six overall.

New York Rangers -130 Chicago Blackhawks +110 Total: 5.5

The Blackhawks are getting excellent goaltending from Marc-Andre Fleury and the defense has held up in front of him. I like the under in this matchup as I think the first team to three goals will win this game. 

Pick: Under 5.5

Minnesota Wild +105 Edmonton Oilers -125 Total: 6.5

I will take a shot with plus money and the Wild here on the road. The total is steep at 6.5 and I do expect plenty of goals, but I think the Wild have the better goaltender and defense currently, and that should lead them to victory.

Calgary Flames -135 San Jose Sharks +115 Total: 5.5

To end the night, I think it is worth the +115 to take a chance with the Sharks at home. San Jose has been so-so to start the season but returning back to San Jose after a long road trip should energize this team enough to grab the victory over a tough Flames team here.
