It’s a lighter slate of NHL games on Sunday but there is still plenty of value across the six games. Let’s take a look at a free pick on each of the games to make Sunday a profitable one.
Washington Capitals +131 at Carolina Hurricanes -157 Total: 5.5
There is zero chance I am going against the Washington Capitals in this game. Ilya Samsonov is expected to get the start in goal for the Capitals and the team has won his last ten starts. The Hurricanes are going to have some major issues scoring in this game, and the Capitals will pull the upset.
Tampa Bay Lightning -105 at Minnesota Wild -115 Total: 5.5
The Minnesota WIld at home sit with a 6-2 record overall and their offense has been the reason why. The WIld are averaging 3.6 goals per game which is 4th best in the NHL. The Lightning aren’t going to have the offense to keep up, and the Wild will win this game.
Play: Wild ML -115
Vancouver Canucks +197 at Boston Bruins -237 Total: 5.5
The Canucks offense isn’t elite, but the Bruins might put up five or six goals by themselves. The Canucks are giving up 3.29 goals per game and the Bruins are averaging 3.05 goals per game. There will be plenty of goals scored in this one and the over will cash.
Philadelphia Flyer +118 at New Jersey Devils -141 Total: 5.5
The Flyers offense isn’t great averaging only 2.47 goals per game, and they aren’t going to magically start scoring in this game. The Devils will score a couple of goals early and they are going to cruise to a victory. Back the Devils on the puck line.
Play: Devils -1.5
San Jose Sharks +105 at Chicago Blackhawks -125 Total: 5.5
The Chicago Blackhawks have gotten it figured out as of late and they have won two of the last three games. The defense has been better, including the last game where they gave up only two goals to the Blues. Back the Blackhawks.
Play: Blackhawks ML -125
Toronto Maple Leafs -169 at Anaheim Ducks +145 Total: 5.5
The Maple Leafs offense has been playing better as of late. Over the last two games the Maple Leafs have scored 10 goals total, and the Ducks will have no answer for it. Look for the Maple Leafs to finish with four or five goals, and Toronto will win on the money line.
Play: Maple Leafs ML
