It’s a nice slate of NHL games on Friday with 13 games taking place. Let’s take a look at a free pick on each of the games.
New York Rangers +113 at Boston Bruins -160 Total: 6
The Boston Bruins have been much better at home this season and their offense at home has been the difference. The Rangers on the season are averaging only 2.84 goals per game and their lack of scoring is going to let them down. Back the Bruins on the money line.
Play: Bruins ML -160
St. Louis Blues -125 at Chicago Blackhawks +105 Total: 5,5
The Chicago Blackhawks are back to their bad scoring ways, and they are going to have issues again in this game. In the last game against the Calgary Flames they were defeated 5-2. The Blackhawks are going to struggle to score and the Blues will get the job done.
Play: Blues ML -125
Carolina Hurricanes -145 at Philadelphia Flyers +125 Total: 6
The Hurricanes and Flyers have both had strong defenses so far this season. The Hurricanes are giving up only two goals per game while the Flyers are giving up only 2.67 goals per game. Back the under to cash.
Play: Under 6
Winnipeg Jets +110 at Minnesota Wild -139 Total: 6
The Minnesota Wild aren’t getting enough attention for how much success they have found this season. The Wild are averaging 3.421 goals per game which is 5th best in all the NHL. The Jets don’t have enough offense to keep this game close. Back the Wild on the money line.
Play: Wild ML -130
Ottawa Senators +155 at Anaheim Ducks -175 Total: 5.5
Ottawa is having a terrible season and it’s not going to magically get any better in this game. The Senators are giving up 3.83 goals per game which is 32nd in the NHL. The Ducks are going to run up the score and they will win this game on the puck line.
Play: Ducks -1.5
Florida Panthers -105 at Washington Capitals -115 Total: 6
The Panthers and Capitals are both going to run up the score in this game. Florida is averaging 3.84 goals per game while Washington is scoring 3.5 goals per game. Look for both offenses to run up the score and the over is going to cash.
Play: Over 6 Goals.
New Jersey Devils +125 at Nashville Predators -145 Total:5.5
I don’t really trust either of these offenses. The Predators are averaging 2.68 goals per game and they aren’t going to breakout in this game. Look for a lower scoring game, and the under will cash.
Play: Under 5.5 Goals
Montreal Canadiens -120 at Buffalo Sabres +100 Total: 6
The Canadiens and Sabres defenses have both been an issue, and this game is going to be lower scoring. The over is 5-1-1 in Sabres last 7 games playing on 1 days rest. The over is 6-1 in Canadiens last 7 when their opponent scores 2 goals or less in their previous game Back the over.
Play: Over 6
Seattle Kraken +163 at Tampa Bay Lightning -186 Total: 6
The Lightning should be a lot bigger favorites in this game. Seattle’s defense is giving up 3.63 goals per game, and the Lightning are going to have no issue attacking that. Back Tampa Bay on the puck line.
Play: Lightning -1.5
Vancouver Canucks +120 at Columbus Blue Jackets -141 Total: 5.5
The Vancouver Canucks have really struggled this season, and the offense has been a big issue. The Canucks are averaging only 2.3 goals per game. Look for Columbus to win this game.
Play: Blue Jackets ML -141
Pittsburgh Penguins -145 at New York Islanders +125 Total: 5.5
One of the most disappointing teams in the NHL has been the Islanders. New York is averaging 2.00 goals per game while their defense is giving up 3.13 goals per game. The Penguins defense will lock down, and the Penguins will win.
Play: Penguins ML -135
Colorado Avalanche -130 at Dallas Stars +110 Total: 6
The Colorado Avalanche have been playing better as of late, and their offense has been the reason why. The Avs are averaging 4.01 goals per game, and Colorado will run up the score. Back the Avs on the puck line.
Play: Avs -1.5
Toronto Maple Leafs -155 at San Jose Sharks +137 Total: 6
The Maple Leafs offense hasn’t been great, and in the last game against the Kings, they put up six goals. In this game the Maple Leafs are going to run up the score and the Sharks will have no answer. Back the Maple Leafs on the puck line.
Play: Maples Leafs -1.5
