We have nine games on the schedule in the NHL for Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021. With 18 teams in action, let's take a look at each game and make some free picks.
Vegas Golden Knights +140 Toronto Maple Leafs -165 Total: 6
I think we are going to see the Maple Leafs go on a run very soon and tonight could be the start of that. I like this matchup with a banged-up Golden Knights team, and I like Toronto on the money line at home.
Pick: Toronto Maple Leafs -165
Detroit Red Wings +125 Montreal Canadiens Total: 5.5
I would not want to lay any juice with the Canadiens at this point, even against the Red Wings. Detroit has been plenty good enough to earn a road victory in this spot. I will take the plus money with the Wings here.
Pick: Detroit Red Wings +125
Arizona Coyotes +180 Philadelphia Flyers -225 Total: 5.5
Although the Coyotes have been abysmal to start the year, I do think this team has been improving and I am not in love with the Flyers' defensive structure. I think the Coyotes find a few goals and keep this one within a goal.
Pick: Arizona Coyotes +1.5
Dallas Stars +110 Winnipeg Jets -130 Total: 5.5
This game should be very entertaining between two teams that were in the playoffs a year ago. In this particular matchup, I think the Jets eke out the win. I could see overtime here, but I think Connor and Winnipeg pull it out in the end.
Pick: Winnipeg Jets -130
Ottawa Senators +180 Minnesota Wild -225 Total: 5.5
Coming back home after the road trip, I do expect the Wild to be a lot sharper on the defensive end, especially against this Senators team. I think scoring is hard to come by, so I think the play that makes the most sense for me is the under, as the Wild hold no value at that -225 price.
Pick: Under 5.5
Nashville Predators +120 Calgary Flames -140 Total: 5.5
Does anyone want to get in the way of the Calgary Flames right now? I sure don't. I will take Calgary until it shows me otherwise. The Flames have been one of the most profitable teams so far this season and I think they grab another victory on home ice.
Pick: Calgary Flames -140
New York Rangers -120 Vancouver Canucks +100 Total: 5.5
The Rangers locked up their star defenseman in Fox to a big contract and I like the way New York has looked thus far. The Canucks are not off to a great start to the year and the rebuild is looming. I will take the Rangers as the road favorite.
Pick: New York Rangers -120
New Jersey Devils -135 Anaheim Ducks +115 Total: 5.5
I really like this Ducks offense and think it is going to give a lot of teams many fits this season. This total is far too low when you look at how volatile Anaheim has been, even with a star in net in Gibson. I will take the over here.
Pick: Over 5.5
Buffalo Sabres +130 San Jose Sharks -150 Total: 6
The Sabres have gotten off to a hot start every season for the past few years it seems. The falloff is coming, and I think the Sabres' loss to the Kings on Sunday showed some of the weaknesses of this team. This is not a good Buffalo team, but because of the good start, we are going to get value betting against them. I think the Sharks dominate at home.
Pick: San Jose Sharks -1.5
