It’s a lighter slate of games on Sunday across the NHL with only five games taking place. Let’s take a look at each of the games and give a free pick to make your Sunday a profitable one.
Arizona Coyotes +245 at Carolina Hurricanes -294 Total: 6
At some point the Arizona Coyotes will have to win, and the Carolina Hurricanes will have to lose, but this won’t be that game. The Hurricanes are 7-0 and they are also 7-0 on the puck line. The Coyotes offense is averaging 1.5 goals per game and their lack of scoring is going to let them down in this game. Look for the Hurricanes to score three or four goals and the home team will win on the puck line.
Play: Hurricanes -1.5
Montreal Canadiens -125 at Anaheim Ducks +105 Total: 5.5
The Canadiens and bucks have both gotten out to slow starts to the season. Both defenses hasn’t been good, but the Canadiens offense also has struggled. The Ducks are averaging three goals per game, and their offense is going to get the job done in this game. The Ducks shouldn’t be the underdogs in this game. Back the Ducks.
Play: Ducks ML +105
Buffalo Sabres +110 at Los Angeles Kings -130 Total: 5.5
The Sabres are one of the most surprising teams in all the NHL sitting with a 5-2 record overall. On the other side is the Kings who have struggled this season winning only one of their first seven games. The Sabres defense is giving up only two goals per game, and that will be the difference in this game. Back the Sabres on the money line. The under should also cash in this game.
Play: Sabres ML +110
Columbus Blue Jackets -105 at New Jersey Devils -115 Total: 6
This total is way too high. These aren’t terrible offenses, but they are very middle of the road, and I don’t expect many good scoring chances for either team. The Devils also had a game on Saturday night and tired legs are going to be a problem. Back the under.
Play: Under
New York Rangers at Seattle Kraken
The Seattle Kraken are playing some good hockey heading into this game having won two games in a row. In the last two games they have outscored their opponents 9-1. These teams both have good defenses, but the Kraken’s offense has been strong as of late, and that will continue in this game.
Play: Kraken ML
