Arizona Coyotes +220 Tampa Bay Lightning -280 Total: 5.5
The Lightning found its most impressive win of the year last time out against Pittsburgh and back at home, I think the Bolts take out built-up frustration on the lowly Coyotes.
Pick: Tampa Bay Lightning -1.5
Calgary Flames +100 Pittsburgh Penguins -120 Total: 5.5
I really like the way the Flames are playing and Calgary has already pulled off two impressive road victories over Metro teams. I think the Flames grab another victory on the road in this spot and getting plus money never hurts.
Pick: Calgary Flames +100
Boston Bruins +110 Carolina Hurricanes -130 Total: 6
This is a close one for me but based on value alone, I will side with the Bruins. This is not to say the Hurricanes have not been absolutely dominant this season, but getting the B's at plus money is slightly more appealing.
Pick: Boston Bruins +110
Colorado Avalanche -125 St. Louis Blues +105 Total: 6
I am concerned with the Avalanche's back-end this season, as goaltending and defense have become a major issue and the team is not scoring enough to combat those problems. Until I see it, I have to side with who has been the better team this year, and that is the Blues.
Pick: St. Louis Blues +105
Philadelphia Flyers -105 Vancouver Canucks -115 Total: 6
The Flyers have been very volatile this season, as even though they are scoring goals they are also giving up plenty. I think this game opens up a bit and we see plenty of scoring from both sides in a game that could need overtime.
Pick: Over 6
Buffalo Sabres +110 Anaheim Ducks -130 Total: 5.5
When both of these teams are at their best, defense and strong goaltending come first. The Sabres' early success has been a result of smart defensive play, and the Ducks feature one of the best goaltenders in hockey in Gibson. I will take the under as I expect this to be a low-scoring, "first team to three goals wins" kind of contest.
Pick: Under 5.5
Minnesota Wild -120 Seattle Kraken +100 Total: 5.5
Although exciting to watch, I am not quite yet a believer in the Kraken. I think things are going to take some time, and beating a very good Wild team is just too much to ask from this young franchise. We are getting a very good price with Minnesota here that I cannot pass up.
Pick: Minnesota Wild -120
Winnipeg Jets -120 Los Angeles Kings +100 Total: 5.5
I think we see a 3-3 game that goes into overtime in this one, so a "draw" on the three-way-money line is also worth a look for this game. Nonetheless, I think both teams can get to three goals here, especially when you look at how Anze Kopitar and Kyle Connor have been playing for their respective clubs.
Pick: Over 5.5
Montreal Canadiens +115 San Jose Sharks -135 Total: 5.5
I think the Habs are going to have a very long season after only being a few months removed from a Stanley Cup spot. Things are not the same in Montreal these days and I think a young and hungry Sharks team takes care of business at home.
Pick: San Jose Sharks -135
