It’s a lighter slate of games across the NHL on Friday but there is still value across the board in terms of winners. Let’s take a look at a free pick on each of the games to make the start of your weekend a winning one.
San Jose Sharks +177 at Toronto Maple Leafs -213 Total: 6
The San Jose Sharks will be on the second night of a back-to-back, but they are still the play in this game. The Sharks on Tuesday were quite impressive against the Montreal Canadiens scoring five goals while giving up zero. In this game the defense will be the difference as Toronto is averaging only two goals per game. The Sharks will overcome the tired legs to come away with the victory.
Play: Sharks ML +177
Boston Bruins -195 at Buffalo Sabres +170 Total: 5.5
There weren’t a whole lot of expectations surrounding this Sabres team, but they have won each of the first three games because of their good defense. The Sabres have given up only four runs total during the three games. In the last game against the Canucks, the Sabres scored five goals, and they will have another complete game in this one. Look for the Sabres to pull off another upset.
Play: Sabres ML +170
Los Angeles Kings +130 at Dallas Stars -150 Total: 5.5
The Stars offense has struggled to score goals, and the Kings defense has been good. The stars are averaging only 1.76 goals per game while the Kings are giving up 2.33 goals per game. I also don’t expect the Kings to be lighting the lamp a whole lot and this is going to be a low scoring game. Back the under.
Edmonton Oilers +110 at Vegas Golden Knights -130 Total: 6
The Oilers are a team that scores a lot, but they also give up plenty of goals. Coming into this game they are averaging 4.3 goals per game while the defense is giving up three goals per game. Vegas is giving up four goals per game, and this will be another game where there is plenty of scoring. Back the over.
