There are five games in the National Hockey League on Tuesday, May 4th, 2021. With the regular season nearing its end, these games will have playoff and seeding implications. Here are the betting picks and the odds for Tuesday’s games in the NHL.
New York Islanders -270 Buffalo Sabres +220 Total: 5.5
The Islanders have dominated the Sabres all season long and with nothing left to play for in Buffalo, I think the Islanders take the last game of this season series quite comfortably. I will lay the puck line with the Isles to find some sort of value.
Pick: New York Islanders -1.5
Boston Bruins -240 New Jersey Devils +200 Total: 5.5
This season series has been rather close with plenty of one-goal contests. I think both defenses step up here and we go well under the total on Tuesday. The Bruins have one of the strongest defenses in the league and the under is a strong play because of it.
Pick: Under 5.5
Pittsburgh Penguins -170 Philadelphia Flyers +150 Total: 6.5
The Flyers have been one of the most disappointing teams in the league this season, and the Penguins are still in the running to win the East division. I do not see the Pens dropping this game, especially after last night’s loss. I will take the Penguins here.
Pick: Pittsburgh Penguins -170
Chicago Blackhawks +195 Carolina Hurricanes -235 Total: 6
The Blackhawks and Hurricanes are in two different directions but I do think both teams will find the back of the net quite often on Tuesday. This total is steep for a reason, as I think these offenses will reign supreme in this contest. I like the over.
Pick: Over 6
Edmonton Oilers -190 Vancouver Canucks +165 Total: 6
After getting back on the ice and winning three of their first four games after their COVID break, the Canucks are now on a downward spiral and are looking to put an end to a disappointing campaign. I think the Oilers take advantage of that and win this game on the road, sealing the deal for second place in the North standings.
Pick: Edmonton Oilers -190
