Jacob Markstrom continues to miss time with an upper body injury which is big as he leads the Flames with an 8-7 record in goal, with a pair of shutouts and a 2.87 GAA while David Rittich has just a pair of wins and a shutout with a 2.92 GAA in 10 appearances.
Ottawa is 17-41 in their last 58 games overall and 14-51 in their last 65 road games while the over is 3-1-1 in their last 5 games as an underdog. Calgary is 2-6 in their last 8 games overall and 8-2 in their last 10 games as a home favorite while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games playing on 2 days rest. The over is 3-0-1 in the last 4 meetings between these two teams.
I think a case could be made for either side, as Calgary’s the better team but the Senators have stepped up in spots where we really least expect them to. With that said, I’m going to take a shot with the Sens here. Calgary hasn’t been dominant at home by any stretch and Ottawa’s won six of their last ten games coming into this one and are appearing to play like an NHL team. Who would’ve thought? Anyways. I’m not laying this price with Calgary or going with the Flames puck line so give me the Senators and the plus money in this spot.
