The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Edmonton Oilers meet in NHL action from Rogers Place on Monday night.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will look to build on their 4-0 win over Edmonton last time out. Mitch Marner leads the Leafs in scoring with 32 points including 10 goals and 22 assists while Auston Matthews is right behind with 31 points including 18 goals and 13 assists. John Tavares has 19 points with 13 assists and William Nylander’s got 8 goals and 9 assists for his 17 points and Morgan Rielly has 16 points with 14 assists. Frederik Andersen continues to see the bulk of the action in goal for Toronto, going 11-5 with a 2.69 GAA this season.

The Edmonton Oilers will be out to rebound from the loss to Toronto last time out. Connor McDavid leads Edmonton in scoring with 40 points including 14 goals and 26 assists while Leon Draisaitl has 10 goals and 24 points for his 34 points. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has 19 points with 9 goals and 10 helpers and Tyson Barrie has 18 points with 15 assists. Darnell Nurse has 16 points with 6 goals and 10 assists and Kailer Yamamoto has 11 points with 5 goals and 6 apples. Mikko Koskinen leads the Oilers in goal, going 7-8 with a 3.26 GAA this season.

Toronto is 7-1 in their last 8 road games and 5-1 in their last 6 games overall while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games as a road favorite. Edmonton is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall and 5-2 in their last 7 home games while the over is 3-1-1 in their last 5 games as an underdog. Toronto is 21-8 in the last 29 meetings between these two teams.

I get the allure of the Oilers at home with a low line, but the issue I have is that the Oilers continue to have issues with scoring depth aside from the top line and while the defense has done well in recent games, the Oilers continue to have issues keeping the puck out of the net. This is a Toronto team that put the boots to Edmonton with their backup goaltender in goal and without their top scorer in Auston Matthews. I think this is another fantastic value spot to back Toronto, so I’ll lay the juice with Toronto in this one.
