The Hurricanes are 36-17 in their last 53 home games, 30-14 in their last 44 games as a home favorite and 1-4 in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest. The over is 4-1-1 in Islanders last 6 overall. The under is 5-0 in Hurricanes last 5 overall. The Islanders are 0-6 in the last 6 meetings. The underdog is 10-4 in the last 14 meetings.
It's always nice to get a team such as the New York Islanders, which is currently the third most profitable team in the sport, at plus money, but they're in a bit of a slump right now and playing on the end of a back to back usually doesn't fix those issues. The Carolina Hurricanes play their best hockey at home and they've been pretty dominant as a home favorite. We've made a lot of coin this season just blindly backing the Islanders, but this feels like a spot to step back.
