The Houston Texans are 0-2 this preseason after they lost to the Raiders by a score of 22-20 last week. Houston led 20-3 at halftime, but they were outscored 19-0 in the second half for the loss. The Texans were out gained by a total of 400-219, went 7-17 on third downs, and lost the turnover battle by a total of 2-1 in the game. Carolina Panthers Betting Preview

The Carolina Panthers are 2-1 this preseason after they defeated the Jaguars by a score of 34-17 last week. Carolina led 20-6 at halftime and added 14 points in the second half in the victory. Anthony Tyus III rushed four times for 28 yards, while AJ Dillon caught two passes for 29 yards. In this game, Carolina won’t play Bryce Young, so we will see Kenny Pickett and Kyle Trask once again.

Texans vs Panthers Prediction

Houston comes into this matchup looking for their first win of the preseason, but they have not scored in the second half in either of their first two games. The Texans have a decent QB option with Davis Mills, but Brett Rypien is not great. Carolina has seen 63, 43, and 51 points in their first three games and Pickett/Trask has been a decent duo. Out of the five preseason games played between these teams this year, we have seen four go over this number. Take the over here.

David Racey's Pick: Over 36.5
