Kenny Pickett threw for 137 yards and one touchdown, while Kyle Trask threw for 52 yards and one touchdown. Jimmy Horn Jr rushed one time for 39 yards, while John Metchie III caught six passes for 77 yards in the win. 

Prior to that game, Carolina lost to the Bills by a score of 29-14, but did defeat the Cardinals 33-30 in the Hall of Fame game. In that loss to Buffalo, Carolina trailed 13-7 at halftime and was outscored 16-7 in the second half in the defeat. Houston comes into this matchup looking for their first win of the preseason, but they have not scored in the second half in either of their first two games. The Texans have a decent QB option with Davis Mills, but Brett Rypien is not great. Carolina has seen 63, 43, and 51 points in their first three games and Pickett/Trask has been a decent duo.
