The Line: Betting Odds: Green Bay -3 — Over/Under: +48.5
The Washington Commanders will face the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in a prime-time matchup at Lambeau Field. The Commanders enter the game with momentum after a strong 21‑6 season-opening win over the New York Giants, while the Packers also started the season on a high note, defeating the Detroit Lions 27‑13. The quarterback matchup features Jayden Daniels, who showed dual-threat potential in Week 1 with 233 passing yards, a touchdown, and 68 rushing yards, against Jordan Love, who was highly efficient in his season opener, completing 16 of 22 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns. This sets up to be a great matchup between two teams with high hopes for this season.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels led his team to a 21–6 victory over the New York Giants. Daniels completed 19 of 30 pass attempts for 233 yards and one touchdown, a 7-yard strike to tight end Zach Ertz in the first quarter. He also showcased his mobility, rushing 11 times for 68 yards, averaging 6.2 yards per carry. Dating back to last season, we’ve seen Daniels kill it on the ground. He logged 46+ rushing yards in 7 of his last 10 games, going back to last season. I do expect the Packers to bring the pressure, which will force Daniels out of the pocket and create running opportunities for the young quarterback.
Tucker Kraft caught 2 of 4 targets for 16 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Jordan Love, marking the Packers’ first score of the season. After a strong start, we saw Kraft’s production slow down. I believe that was a case of the Packers taking their foot off the gas due to being up by so much. I do expect this game to be very competitive and high scoring. In that type of matchup, get ready for Kraft to have ample opportunities to get targets and receptions. I’m not going to let Kraft’s week 1 scare me away from betting on him to have a big game on Thursday night.
Wide receiver Terry McLaurin had a modest performance in week 1. He recorded 2 receptions for 27 yards on 4 targets, averaging 13.5 yards per catch. Despite the team’s 21–6 victory, McLaurin also did not score. I want to buy low on McLaurin in this game. It’s hard for me to believe McLaurin will have back-to-back quiet games. We saw last season when the Commanders played in these primetime games, that’s when we McLaurin really showed out. Also, with the Commanders going on the road and being the underdogs, it could lead to the Commanders playing catch-up, which will be great for McLaurin’s number.
