Seahawks vs Falcons Prediction
I’ll lean toward the Seahawks but I’m not touching this one. Seattle played an ugly game versus the Vikings last weekend, but the defense was excellent. The Seahawks gave up just 162 total yards with 3.2 yards per play, 11 first downs, 2-of-10 on third-down tries and 66 rush yards with a whopping five takeaways (four picks) along the way. The offense, however, mustered just 219 yards, 94 pass yards, 3.5 yards per play and 17 first downs with a couple of lost fumbles. Minnesota’s 10 penalties didn’t hurt, either. Seattle has notched 26 or more points in five of the last six games though, with wins in all five of those outings.
As for the Falcons, they wilted late against the lowly Jets last weekend, despite giving up 269 yards, 159 pass yards and 16 first downs defensively. Atlanta’s offense went just 4-of-12 on third-down tries but otherwise didn’t play horribly. The Falcons are just 1-6 in their last seven games and flailing right now despite putting up 23 or more points in five straight outings.
