In this article we will formulate a Seahawks vs Commanders prediction for this NFL game on Sunday, November 2nd at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this week 9 matchup.

Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview

The Seattle Seahawks are 5-2 this season after they defeated Houston by a score of 27-19 in their last game. Seattle led 14-6 at halftime and they scored 13 points in the third quarter, before holding on for the win in the fourth. The Seahawks out gained Houston by a total of 316-254, went 2-14 on third downs, and lost the turnover battle by a total of 4-1 in the game. Sam Darnold went 17-31 for 213 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, while Kenneth Walker III rushed 17 times for 66 yards. Jaxon Smith-Njigba led the receivers with eight receptions for 123 yards and one score in the game. The Seattle defense recorded three sacks and 10 tackles for loss in the win.

Prior to that game, Seattle defeated the Jaguars by a score of 20-12, but did lose to the Buccaneers by a score of 38-35 before that. The Seahawks have won five of their last six games and they are currently tied for first in the NFC West standings. Seattle has scored 27.6 points per game with 244.4 passing yards and 106.1 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 19.4 points against per game this season. Sam Darnold has thrown for 1,754 yards, 12 touchdowns, and four interceptions, while Jaxon Smith-Njigba has 50 receptions for 819 yards and four scores this season.

Washington Commanders Betting Preview

The Washington Commanders are 3-5 this year after they lost to Kansas City by a score of 28-7 last week. Washington tied the game at seven right before halftime, but they were outscored 21-0 in the second half for the ugly loss. The Commanders were out gained by a total of 432-260, went 7-12 on third downs, and tied the turnover battle at two in the game. Marcus Mariota went 21-30 for 213 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, while also rushing eight times for 28 yards. Jeremy McNicholas led the receivers with five catches for 64 yards in the loss. The Washington defense recorded three sacks and four tackles for loss in the game.

Prior to that game, Washington lost to the Cowboys by a score of 44-22 and the Bears by a score of 25-24. The Commanders have lost three games in a row and they are currently third in the NFC East standings. Washington has scored 23.4 points per game with 196.6 passing yards and 137.8 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 24.8 points against per game this season. Jayden Daniels is dealing with an injury and is questionable, so we may see Mariota under center once again. Deebo Samuel has 37 receptions for 326 yards and three scores this year, while Jacory Croskey-Merritt has 402 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

    Seahawks vs Commanders Prediction

Washington comes into this matchup trying to snap a three game losing streak, but they have allowed 28, 44, and 25 points during those three losses. The Commanders really struggled in the second half against KC last week and while they definitely could use Daniels back in the lineup, their defense needs to show improvement. Seattle has won five of their last six games, but they were very sloppy against Houston last time out. I know it may seem crazy after how the second half looked last week, but I thought Washington played well at times and I think they can take advantage of the Seattle mistakes. Take the Commanders at home.
