On Thursday, September 18, 2025, the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills will square off on Thursday Night Football in what has become a lopsided rivalry in recent years. The Bills enter the matchup at 2–0, coming off a comeback win over Baltimore and a dominant showing against New York, while the Dolphins are 0–2 and still searching for their first victory of the season. Buffalo has had Miami’s number in recent meetings, and Josh Allen has consistently found success against the Dolphins’ defense, which has struggled to slow him down.

Josh Allen Over 29.5 Rush Yards

Through the first two weeks of the 2025 NFL season, Josh Allen has continued to showcase his dual-threat ability with his legs. The Bills quarterback has carried the ball 20 times for 89 rushing yards, averaging 4.4 yards per attempt. His mobility has also produced big plays, highlighted by a 40-yard run, and he has already found the end zone twice on the ground. Dating back to last season, Josh Allen has recorded 30+ rush yards in 7 of his last 10 games. He has a great matchup against this Dolphins defense that really struggled to stop the run in the first 2 weeks of the season. Josh Allen will torch this Miami defense on the ground.

Jaylen Waddle Over 20.5 Longest Reception

So far this season, Jaylen Waddle has been a steady contributor in the Dolphins’ passing attack. He has hauled in 9 receptions on 11 targets for 98 yards, averaging 10.9 yards per catch with a long reception of 23 yards. Waddle has also found the end zone once. While his volume has been modest early, his efficiency and knack for creating chunk plays continue to make him a reliable weapon. When Tua’s healthy, we’ve seen him and Waddle have a lot of success when it comes to the deep ball. When everyone is attacking Tyreek Hill, we need to go the other way and target Waddle.

James Cook Anytime Touchdown

James Cook has been a major factor in the Buffalo Bills’ offense, showing both explosiveness and balance as a runner and receiver. On the ground, he has carried the ball 34 times for 176 yards, averaging an impressive 5.2 yards per attempt, with a long run of 44 yards and three rushing touchdowns already on the year. In the passing game, Cook has added 6 receptions for 61 yards, highlighted by a 51-yard catch that showcased his big-play ability. James Cook comes into this one already scoring 3 touchdowns. The Dolphins have been terrible on the defensive side of the ball, and Cook should run all over them. With there being a good chance the Bills take a big lead in this game, I expect the Bills to be running the ball heavily late in the game.
