In this article we will formulate a Jets vs Titans prediction for this NFL game on Sunday, September 13th at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this week 1 matchup.

New York Jets Betting Preview

The New York Jets were 3-14 last year and they finished last in the AFC East standings, which was 11 games behind the Bills for first. New York started the season with seven straight losses, but did beat the Bengals and Browns in back to back games. The Jets finished the season by losing seven of their last eight games, but did pickup a win against the Falcons in week 13. New York scored 20 points or fewer in seven of their last eight games. The Jets scored 17.6 points per game in 2025, while they allowed 29.6 points against per game on defense.

In the preseason, New York went 1-2, which was tied for third in the AFC East. The Jets lost to the Buccaneers by a score of 24-16, defeated the Steelers 17-0, and lost to the Giants by a score of 23-6. New York will have Geno Smith starting at quarterback with Breece Hall at running back and Garrett Wilson as the #1 receiver.

Tennessee Titans Betting Preview

The Tennessee Titans went 3-14 last year and they finished last in the AFC South standings, 10 games behind the Jaguars in first. The Titans started the season by losing their first four games, but got in the win column against the Cardinals by a score of 22-21. Tennessee went on to lose the next seven games, before going 2-3 in their last five. The Titans also picked up wins against the Browns and Chiefs. Tennessee scored 16.7 points per game in 2025, while they allowed 28.1 points against per game on defense.

In the preseason, Tennessee went 2-1, which was tied for first in the AFC South. The Titans defeated the 49ers by a score of 19-13, defeated the Seahawks 19-16, and lost to the Bears by a score of 24-15 in their three games. Tennessee will have Cam Ward back as the starting quarterback with Tony Pollard at running back and Calvin Ridley/Carnell Tate at wide receiver. The Titans should be better this year, but they need Cam Ward to take the next step.

Jets vs Titans Prediction

Both of these teams come into this season looking for more success than they had in 2025, so this is a huge game to start the year. Tennessee has plenty of potential with Cam Ward at quarterback, but the team around him is very average. New York is hoping Geno Smith is the answer at quarterback, as they haven’t had a legit QB in years. I don’t think we will see many points in this game, as week one is already hard for the offenses to get going + each offense has a bunch of question marks. Take the under here.

David Racey's Pick: Under 38.5
