Atlanta Falcons Betting Preview

The Atlanta Falcons are 3-7 this year after they lost to Carolina in overtime by a score of 30-27 in their last game. Atlanta led 21-10 at halftime, but they needed a field goal late in the fourth to tie the game, before losing in overtime. The Falcons were out gained by a total of 486-348, went 4-11 on third downs, and lost the turnover battle by a margin of 1-0 in the game. Michael Penix Jr went 13-16 for 175 yards, while Bijan Robinson rushed 23 times for 104 yards and two scores. Drake London led the receivers with seven receptions for 119 yards in the loss. The Atlanta defense recorded five sacks and six tackles for loss in the game.

Prior to that game, Atlanta lost to the Colts by a score of 31-25 and the Patriots by a score of 24-23. The Falcons have lost five games in a row and they are currently third in the NFC South standings. Atlanta has scored 19.5 points per game with 212.6 passing yards and 119.9 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 23.9 points against per game this season. Michael Penix Jr was hurt in their last game, so we will see Kirk Cousins under center here, while Bijan Robinson has rushed for 783 yards and four scores on 158 carries this year.

New Orleans Saints Betting Preview

The New Orleans Saints are 2-8 this season after they defeated Carolina by a score of 17-7 in their last game. New Orleans led 10-7 at halftime and their defense pitched a shutout in the second half for the upset win. The Saints out gained Carolina by a total of 388-175, went 8-17 on third downs, and won the turnover battle by a margin of 2-1 in the game. Falcons vs Saints Prediction

New Orleans was able to snap their losing streak with a win over Carolina last time out and they will look to make it two in a row here. The Saints are coming off of a bye week, so they should be pretty healthy heading into this game. Atlanta has lost five games in a row, but their last three have been by a combined 10 points. The Falcons have one of the best running backs in the NFL, but they will have Cousins under center, as Penix Jr is hurt. I have my doubts about Kirk Cousins, but I still think the Falcons are the better play. Take Atlanta on the road.
