Denver Broncos Betting Preview

Denver’s season began on a 1-2 run with a win over the Titans ahead of losses versus the Colts and Chargers. The Broncos rallied after that and began a long win streak. Denver would take out the Bengals, Eagles, Jets, Giants, Cowboys, Texans, Raiders and Chiefs in their next eight outings. That would give Denver a nice 9-2 run over their first 11 games this year.

In their Sunday game versus Kansas City, Denver blew a 13-7 halftime lead but eventually won the game in overtime 27-26. QB Bo Nix finished 29-of-45 for 321 yards, one TD and one pick. RJ Harvey added 13 carries for 35 yards and two scores as the top rusher, and Evan Engram had six catches for 79 yards in the winning effort for the Broncos.

Las Vegas Raiders Betting Preview

Over on the Raiders’ side, they went into their bye week with a rough 2-5 record. The only wins in that time were versus the Patriots and Titans. Otherwise it was losses to the Chargers, Commanders, Bears, Colts and Chiefs. After the bye Las Vegas continued to lose, falling versus the Jaguars, Broncos, Cowboys and Browns in the next four games. That would give the Raiders a 2-9 record across their first 11 games of the season.

Matched up against the Chargers on Sunday the Raiders went into the locker room with a 7-7 tie. Las Vegas was outscored 24-7 the rest of the way however, and lost 31-14 in the end. QB Geno Smith was 18-of-23 for 165 yards, two scores and a pick. Ashton Jeanty carried 15 times for 31 yards and Brock Bowers had four catches for 63 yards and a pair of scores.

Broncos vs Raiders Prediction

I’ll stick with the Broncos but I’m probably avoiding this one. Denver has been giving their fans heart attacks all season with these close games, and this one may be no different. The Broncos’ latest escape versus Washington featured 402 total yards by the offense with 315 pass yards, 23 first downs and 7-of-15 on third-down tries. The defense allowed 419 yards on the other side with 276 pass yards, 30 first downs and 8-of-17 on third downs. In this latest four-game span, Denver has won each outing by three points or fewer while scoring 22 or fewer points in three of them. It’d be nice to get another double-digit win at some point.

As for the Raiders, they could muster just 156 yards against the Chargers along with 31 rush yards, 3.4 yards per play, 12 first downs and 2-of-8 on third-down tries. Vegas has now lost six straight games, scoring fewer than 17 points in five of those. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Raiders play a very competitive game here, though.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Denver Broncos -7.5
