Broncos Keep Chugging Along
Don’t look now but the Broncos just keep picking up victories and it was no different in their last game against the Indianapolis Colts. They got out to a slow start, and at the end of the first quarter, they were down 7-0. They fought back though, and ended up scoring 21 points in the 4th quarter on the way to the 31-13 victory. Bo Nix wasn’t as sharp in this game but still finished completing 20 of his 33 passes for 130 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions. He was the top rusher at 23 yards, and that is going to need to be improved upon. They did pick off Anthony Richardson twice.
The Broncos on the season are averaging 24 points per game while their defense is giving up 17.6 points per game. The offense is ranked 10th while the defense is ranked 1st. Nix has gotten the attention for a strong rookie season, but there should be more talk about how well this defense has played.
How Do the Chargers Rebond?
The Chargers need to rebound, and they need to do it quickly. The Chargers faced off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday and it was an ugly game. The Chargers scored only 17 points while the defense gave up 40 points. They allowed Baker Mayfield to throw for 288 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. Justin Herbert was hurt heading into the game but he threw for 195 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Ladd McConkey has been coming on the last few weeks and he finished with five catches for 58 yards and a touchdown.
The Chargers on the season are averaging 21 points while their defense is giving up 17.6 points per game. The offense is ranked 21st in the league while the defense is ranked 1st in the league. They are averaging 5.0 points per game in the 1st quarter and they are going to need to work on getting out to a faster start. Tight end Will Drisley is dealing with a shoulder injury and he’s questionable for this game.
Denver Broncos vs LA Chargers Prediction
Give me the Broncos here getting the points here. The Chargers’ defense was so bad against the Buccaneers and their defense is going to really struggle again here. The turnovers were a problem on Sunday for Bo NIx but he’s going to clean those up here. The Broncos offense is going to have no issue running up the score here, and don’t be confused, this is going to feel like a home game for the Broncos, even though they are on the road. Back the Broncos against the spread here.
