Baltimore Ravens Betting Preview

Baltimore kicked off their 2025 season with a tough matchup versus the Buffalo Bills. The Ravens got into a shootout on the road in that one, giving up 22 points in the fourth quarter during a 41-40 loss. Baltimore came up with a whopping 238 rushing yards in the defeat. Game two against the Cleveland Browns went a lot smoother for Baltimore. The Ravens posted 21 points in the fourth quarter alone during a 41-17 win. This time Baltimore had a tepid 242 total yards (197 passing) and 4.6 yards per play on average.

This past week the Ravens took on the Detroit Lions in a Monday game. Baltimore played a back-and-forth battle, heading into the final quarter with a 21-21 tie. When the dust settled however, the Ravens ended up with a 38-30 loss. QB Lamar Jackson logged a 21-of-27 line for 288 yards and three scores while Derrick Henry rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown. Mark Andrews was the leading receiver on six grabs for 91 yards and a couple of TDs.

Kansas City Chiefs Betting Preview

Over on the Chiefs’ side, they opened up the year with a couple of tricky matchups and a couple of tough losses. Kansas City started against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1, giving up points in every quarter during a 27-21 loss. The Chiefs defense surrendered 304 passing yards in the defeat. As for Week 2 versus the Philadelphia Eagles in a Super Bowl rematch, KC again gave up points in every quarter in a 20-17 loss. This time the defense was pretty stout though, posting 216 yards allowed, 3.7 yards per play and 5-of-14 on third downs.

Last Sunday evening versus the New York Giants, the Chiefs held a modest three-point lead at halftime. After a 13-3 run from there however, KC had the victory 22-9. QB Patrick Mahomes was 22-of-37 for 224 yards and a touchdown while Isiah Pacheco had 10 carries for 45 yards to top the rush. Tyquan Thornton was the leading receiver with five catches for 71 yards and the touchdown.

Ravens vs Chiefs Prediction

I’ll take Baltimore in this one. The Ravens are playing on a short week and coming off a tough loss at home so it’ll be a tricky turnaround. Baltimore gave up 426 yards (224 rushing), 6.5 yards per play and 7-of-14 on third-down tries to a persistent Lions team on Monday, letting the game get away in the fourth quarter. The good news is that Baltimore’s offense has tallied 30 or more points in all three games so far. The bad news is that they’ve given up a combined 79 points in their two losses (both to solid teams, granted).

As for Kansas City, they did a pretty good job on defense against a struggling Giants team last weekend, bagging 281 yards, 4.6 yards per play and 1-of-10 on third downs allowed alongside a couple of interceptions. The offense was fairly pedestrian but got the job done against an overmatched team. Kansas City has fewer than 23 points in all three games so far, but they’ve given up just 29 combined over the last pair. Coming back home for this one will be a big lift, but I’m not sure the Chiefs can sustain a cover pace. Should be an interesting game, though.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Baltimore Ravens -3
