Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers Prediction
I’m staying with the Lions. This should be a pretty great matchup regardless, though. Detroit had something of a strange statistical win over the Titans in their last game, with the special teams contributing heavily. The offense didn’t have to do much with 225 total yards (61 passing), as the Lions defense gave up just 3-of-11 on third-down tries and had four takeaways. Detroit has scored 20 or more points in five straight games (all wins) and 31 or more points in each of the last four.
As for Green Bay, they eked out a nice road win with a walk-off field goal versus the Jaguars on Sunday. The Packers defense had two takeaways in that one and gave up just one of nine third-down conversions. There were a few sputters on offense (like 3-of-11 on third downs) but overall it was a solid effort to move the team to 6-2 overall. This game could mean a lot in the division down the stretch, and I like the Lions to strike first with a road win/cover. Should be a fun one to check out, even if you’re not a fan of either team.
