Carolina Panthers Betting Preview
Carolina kicked off the 2024 season with a couple of blowout losses. First was a 47-10 result versus the New Orleans Saints, then a 26-3 loss to the Chargers. The Panthers managed their first win in game three, taking out the Raiders 36-22.
Carolina unfortunately fell back into the loss column last weekend versus the Bengals. The Panthers were within a touchdown at halftime but ultimately came up short 34-24. QB Andy Dalton logged 220 yards, one TD, and one interception. Chuba Hubbard led the rush with 104 yards and a score off 18 carries.
Chicago Bears Betting Preview
Over on the Bears’ side, they opened up their year with a 24-17 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Chicago would lose their next two games though, falling to the Texans 19-13 and the regional rival Indianapolis Colts 21-16 in that pair.
In week four, Chicago was able to get another win to pull to 2-2 overall. This one came versus the Rams, as the Bears turned a 10-6 halftime lead into a 24-18 victory. Caleb Williams threw for 157 yards and a score. D’Andre Swift added 93 yards and a TD off 16 carries.

Carolina Panthers vs Chicago Bears Prediction
I’ll take a stab at the Bears. Chicago had some notable blemishes in the stat columns during their win over the Rams. The Bears posted 264 total yards (133 passing) and had zero turnovers, but also went just 3-of-9 on third downs and had 10 penalties for 84 yards overall. The defense did come through with a couple of takeaways and a generally decent performance, though.
As for Carolina, they gave up 373 yards (232 passing), 6.0 yards per play, 24 first downs, and 7-of-13 on third-down conversions in their latest loss. The Panthers weren’t terrible offensively, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Bengals. I like this weekend’s matchup to be fairly close much of the way as well, with Chicago ultimately powering out the cover.
