Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview
In 2023 the Seahawks were able to match their 9-8 record from the previous campaign but didn’t make any progress toward the postseason. Seattle was eliminated from playoff contention for the second time in the last three years after a late loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers cost the team control of their own destiny.
Coming into the 2024 campaign, the Seahawks will be without head coach Pete Carroll (who will still serve as an advisor) on the sideline for the first time in 14 years. Thus begins the Mike Macdonald era, and he’ll have a big crop of young names—headed by first-round draft pick DT Byron Murphy from Texas—to work with.
Los Angeles Chargers Betting Preview
Over on the Chargers’ side, they had an even rougher campaign in 2023. Los Angeles finished at a dismal 5-12 overall, far behind their 10-7 record from a year before. The Chargers would land in last place among the AFC West, officially eliminated from playoff contention with a Week 16 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Hopes are high in Los Angeles under new head coach Jim Harbaugh and new GM Joe Hortiz, though. It’ll be the first season since 2012 without star WR Keenan Allen on the roster (traded to the Chicago Bears), but new offensive additions Joe Alt (OT) and Ladd McConkey (WR) should help QB Justin Herbert thrive.

Seattle Seahawks vs Los Angeles Chargers Prediction
I’ll lean toward the Chargers but I’m probably staying away from this one. LA should be comfortable at home and fired up with a new head coach on the sideline. There’s a lot of excitement surrounding the team, however it may take a couple of seasons before we see too many results materialize. The easier schedule should help matters this year though, so a nine- or 10-win result is certainly feasible. Thing is, there aren’t a ton of options for Herbert to throw to (on paper at least), so the Bolts may struggle against high-scoring offenses.
