Detroit comes in at 9-4 after losing to Chicago on the road, 28-13. The Lions weren’t able to score in the second half, and they’ll look to turn things around this Saturday. Detroit's offense is scoring 26.2 ppg, while passing for 265.3 ypg, rushing for 137.5 ypg, and converting 39.7% of their third downs.

• Jared Goff struggled for the second time against Chicago this season, only going 20/35 for 161 yards, with a touchdown to two turnovers. The former Rams QB has impressed at times this season, and he’ll have to put the tough showing in the Windy City behind him here against Denver. Goff has thrown for 3,449 yards, with 22 touchdowns to 10 interceptions. 

• David Montgomery gained 85 yards against his former team, and he leads the Lions in rushing with 770 yards on 161 carries.  

• Jahmyr Gibbs has found the endzone in five of the last seven games, and he’s second on the team with 692 yards, and he’s caught 45 passes out of the backfield. 

• Amon-Ra St. Brown was quiet during the two-game road trip, but he surpassed the 1,000-yard mark for the season, and he leads Detroit with 87 receptions.

• Sam LaPorta went for a career-high 140 receiving yards in the win over New Orleans, and he’s second on the team with splits of 66/702/6.  

• The Detroit defense is allowing 23.8 points per game.

Detroit’s suffered back-to-back division losses, so a strong showing here at home may be necessary at this point in the season. The Lions quietly haven’t been the same since a lopsided loss in Baltimore, but with a respectable Broncos squad coming to town, Dan Campbell’s guys will come into this home matchup fired up. Denver’s recent stretch of play can’t be ignored approaching this contest either, as they are a completely different team in comparison to the beginning of the season, but Detroit needs this one at home, and I believe they’ll come through. Back the Lions at home this Saturday night, and tilt the margin , as the Broncos have playoff aspirations of their own.
