Houston Texans Preview
Houston moved to 6-4 after defeating Arizona at home by five, 21-16. The Texans used a strong first half to take care of the Cardinals, and they’ll now look to hop into first place in the division this weekend. The Houston offense is scoring 23.8 ppg, while passing for 297.0 ypg, rushing for 99.5 ypg, and converting 43.8% of their third downs.

• C.J. Stroud had a strong first half versus Arizona before fading down the stretch, finishing with 336 yards and two scores, but three turnovers as well. The former Ohio State quarterback deliver another dime of a throw last week, and after securing another victory, he’s running away with the NFL OROY award. Stroud has passed for 2,962 yards, with 17 touchdowns to five interceptions on the season.
• Devin Singletary thrived again in the lead role over Damien Pierce last week, hitting the century mark for the second week in a row, and he’s up to a team-lead 471 rushing yards on 114 carries.
• Nico Collins caught seven passes in his return to the field, and he leads Houston in receptions (43) and receiving yards (696).
• Tank Dell continues to flash glimpses of greatness, and he’s right behind Collins with a line of 42/659/6.

Both South division’s in the NFL have underwhelmed over the past few seasons, but the youth movement in the AFC’s portion has come to the forefront. The winner of this game may very well go on to win the division, and after winning four of their last five games, both squads enter with a ton of momentum. After beating the Jags by twenty in north Florida, the Texans come into a prime position to bring the brooms out here at home, and I like swaying their way for this contest.
