The Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders face off on Sunday in an NFL showdown at Allegiant Stadium. Check out our Chiefs vs Raiders Prediction.

How Do The Chiefs Bounce Back?

There is zero reason the Chiefs should have lost the last game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but their receivers continued to drop passes and that led to some of the struggles. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 24 of his 43 passes for 177 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The Chiefs on the season are averaging 22.5 points while their defense is giving up 16.4 points per game. The defense is ranked 3rd in the league which is a big surprise to many. As the season goes on the Chiefs need some of the receivers to step up and really become reliable for Mahomes.

Chiefs Betting Trends

  • The underdogs have won each of the Raiders' last four Week 12 games.
  • The home team has covered the spread in seven of the Raiders' last eight games.
  • The Raiders have won the first quarter in five of their last six November games as home underdogs against AFC West opponents.
  • The Raiders have scored the first touchdown in each of their last six Sunday games at Allegiant Stadium.
  • The Raiders have lost the first half in each of their last six games as underdogs against AFC opponents.

Can Raiders Pull Off the Upset?

This is basically a must win for the Raiders if they want to stay in striking distance of the playoffs. In the last game against the Miami Dolphins the defense was good giving up only 20 points, but the offense only managed 13 points. Aidan O’Connell completed 24 of his 41 passes for 271 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. He is going to need to be better with the turnovers. The Raiders on the season are averaging 16.8 points while their defense is giving up 20.5 points per game. The defense will need to be good again, but if they want any chance they are going to need the offense to step up in a big way.

Raiders Betting Trends

  • The Chiefs have won each of their last 10 games played on the West Coast.
  • The Chiefs have covered the spread in each of their last seven games as road favorites following a home loss.
  • The Chiefs have won the first half in each of their last six games against the Raiders following a loss.
  • The Chiefs have lost the first quarter in three of their last four November games as favorites against AFC West opponents.
  • The Chiefs have scored the first touchdown in each of their last six games as favorites following a home loss.

Shane’s Free Pick

The turnovers for O’Connell were a big issue and I expect it’s going to be a big issue again for him in this game against a better defense. I do expect the Raiders defense is going to step up again though. The weapons for Mahomes haven’t been stepping up and it’s going to really hurt them again in this game. It’s going to be a pretty ugly game that wll end up staying under the total.

The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a PickDawgz site consensus.
