The Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos face off on Sunday in an NFL showdown at Empower Field at Mile High.
Can Josh Dobbs Do It Again?
Josh Dobbs has had the magic each of the last two weeks and the question is will he be able to do it for a third straight week. The Vikings sit with a 6-4 record and in the last game against the New Orleasn Saints they were able to secure 27-19 victory. Dobbs completed 23 of his 34 passes for for 268 yards, one touchdowns, and zero interceptions. The Vikings are averaging 23.3 points while their defense is giving up 20.9 points per game. The Vikings defense has been blitzing a ton and I expect the same here. Ty Chandler scored his first NFL touchdown against the New Orleans Saints and it looks like he could be the lead back here.
Broncos Figuring it Out?
The Broncos really struggled to start the season, but they are figuring it out and have won three straight. The problem is the Broncos still only have four wins though so this is still a bit of a must win. The Broncos in the last game faced off against the Buffalo Bills and they were able to secure the 22-24 victory. Russell WIlson completed 24 of his 29 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns. Overall Denver is averaging 21.8 points while their defense is giving up 27.6 points per game. They are averaging six points per game in the 1st quarter which is 7th best in the NFL.
Shane’s Free Pick
The Vikings are going to get the job done. Josh Dobbs is the real deal and he’s going to have another big game. Ty Chandler being the starting running back is also going to really help with the offense. The Vikings are going to continue to blitz often and that is going cause some major issues for the Broncos' offense. You aren’t going to need the points here. Back the Vikings on the money line to cash here.
