The New York Giants will play the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Divisional Playoffs on Saturday night at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

New York Preview

The New York Giants were 9-7-1 during the regular season and defeated the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 31-24 in the Wild Card last weekend. New York out gained Minnesota by a total of 431-332 and went 7-13 on third down attempts in the win. The New York offense is averaging 21.5 points per game with 185.7 passing yards per game and 148.2 rushing yards per game. Daniel Jones has thrown for 3,506 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions, while also rushing for 786 yards and seven touchdowns for the Giants this season. Saquon Barkley has rushed for 1,365 yards and 12 scores, while Darius Slayton has caught 50 passes for 812 yards and two touchdowns for New York. The New York defense gave up 24 points and 332 yards last week.

Philadelphia Preview

The Philadelphia Eagles were 14-3 during the regular season and defeated the Giants by a score of 22-16 in their last game. Philadelphia out gained New York by a total of 342-284 and turned the ball over one time in the win. The Philadelphia offense is averaging 28.1 points per game with 241.5 passing yards per game and 147.6 rushing yards per game. Jalen Hurts has thrown for 3,701 yards, 22 touchdowns, and six interceptions, while also rushing for 760 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Eagles this season. Miles Sanders has rushed for 1,269 yards and 11 scores, while A.J. Brown has caught 88 passes for 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns for Philadelphia. The Philadelphia defense is allowing 20.2 points per game and 301.5 yards per game this season.

New York is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games and 10-1 ATS in their last 11 playoff road games. The over is 5-1 in New York’s last 6 Saturday games. Philadelphia is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 playoff games and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 January games. The under is 4-0 in Philadelphia’s last 4 playoff games. The road team is 7-3 ATS in these two teams last 10 head to head meetings.

Philadelphia has been one of the best teams in the NFL this season and will be at home for this playoff game. New York finished the season playing well and just went into Minnesota and knocked off the Vikings in the Wild Card round. I think we are going to see a close game in the first half, but Philadelphia will pull away in the second half behind a big performance from Hurts. I like the Eagles here.
