The Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars face off on Sunday in a Week 17 NFL showdown at NRG Stadium. When these two teams faced off on October 9th, the Texans secured the 13-6 victory. 

The Jaguars come into this game with a 7-8 record overall and they have gone 7-7-1 against the spread. Last Thursday they faced off against the New York Jets and it was a dominant victory. The defense only gave up three points, and they won by 16. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 20 of his 31 passes for 229 yards. He also rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown. Evan Engram has been playing better the last few weeks and he caught seven catches for 113 yards. The Jaguars are averaging 23.5 points while their defense is giving up 22.07 points per game. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Texans who sit with a 2-12-1 record and they have gone 7-7-1 against the spread. In the last game against the Tennessee Titans, the Texans defense gave up only 14 points, and they won by five points. Davis MIlls completed 17 of his 28 passes for 178 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The Texans are averaging 16.9 points while their defense is giving up 23.8 points per game. The offense is ranked 30th in college basketball. Mills has thrown for 2,618 yards, 14 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. 

The Jaguars are 4-0-1 against the spread in their last five games against the AFC. The under is 4-0 in the Texans last four games against the AFC South. The over is 4-0 in the Jaguars last 4 games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game.

The Texans are coming off a win but this is still a terrible offensive team. The Jaguars in the last game gave up only three points, and their defense is going to slow down Davis Mills again in this game. Look for the Jaguars to get another strong game from Lawrence also, and the Jaguars will cover the spread. This is one of the top plays on the entire board.
