The underdog is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings. The road team is 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings.
The San Francisco 49ers are obviously the better team here, and they’ve had extra time to prepare for this game. However, the Washington Commanders are far from a pushover as they have one of the better defenses in the league, and this is probably the best defense Purdy has faced in his NFL career. The Commanders don’t give up anything easy, and each of their last 3 losses have been decided by 8 or fewer points. The 49ers should win, but the Commanders have the ability to hang around, and that hook on top of the free touchdown could be key.
