The Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys face off on Sunday in an NFL showdown at AT&T Stadium. When these two teams faced off in 2019 it was Houston that secured the 19-16 victory in overtime. 

Houston comes into this game with a 1-10-1 record, and they have gone 4-7-1 against the spread. In the last game against the Cleveland Browns, the Texans scored only 14 points, and that led to the 13 point defeat. Kyle Allen started in the last game, but he struggled, and they are going to go back to Davis Mills in this game. Dameon Pierce did have a strong game, finishing with 73 yards. Houston is averaging 15.7 points, while their defense is giving up 23.9 points per game. The offense is ranked 31st and if they want a chance in this game they are going to need a big game from Mills. Brandin Cooks is dealing with a calf injury, and he’s questionable for this game. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Cowboys, who sit with a 9-3 record overall, and they have gone 8-4 against the spread. In the last game against the Colts, the offense scored 54 points, and that was enough to secure the blowout victory. Dak Prescott completed 20 of his 30 passes for 170 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Tony Pollard finished with 12 carries for 91 yards and two touchdowns. The Cowboys are averaging 27.8 points, while their defense is giving up 17.2 points per game. The offense and defense are both ranked 3rd in football. On the season, Prescott has thrown for 1,563 yards, 13 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. 

The Cowboys are 8-0 against the spread in their last eight games in December. The Texans are 0-4 in their last four games. The over is 5-0 in the Cowboy's last five games following a straight-up win.

The Cowboys might not score 54 points again in this game, but they are going to have no issue here. The Cowboys are averaging 27.8 points per game, and they are going to run up the score here. I don’t think Mills is the answer for Houston, and they are going to struggle again in this game to score. This is going to be a blowout victory for the Cowboys. Back Dallas against the spread.
