The Jacksonville Jaguars and Kansas City Chiefs face off on Sunday in an NFL showdown at Arrowhead Stadium.
It has been a very disappointing season for Jacksonville as they currently sit with a 3-6 record overall. In the last game against the Raiders, they fell behind early, but they fought back and were able to win 27-20. Trevor Lawrence completed 25 of his 31 passes for 235 yards and a touchdown. After a slow start to the season, Travis Etienne Jr has really picked it up. Against the Raiders, he rushed 28 times for 109 yards and two touchdowns. Jacksonville is averaging 22.1 points, while their defense is giving up 19.8 points per game. The Jaguars need Lawrence to have a perfect game here.
On the other side of this matchup is the Chiefs, who sit with a 6-2 record overall, but they didn’t look great in the last game, even though they won. It took overtime against the Tennessee Titans, but they were able to secure the 20-17 victory. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 43 of his 68 passes for 446 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. JuJu Smith-Schuster is having a big season and in the last game, he caught 10 passes for 88 yards. The Chiefs are averaging 30.4 points, while their defense is giving up 23.6 points per game. The offense is the best in football. On defense, if they can create a turnover or two, they should be in good shape to secure an easy win.
The Jaguars are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games overall. The Chiefs are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games in Week 10. The Jaguars are 1-5 against the spread in their last six meetings against the Chiefs.
Lawrence is still making too many silly mistakes, and it’s going to really cost his team here. The Chiefs are averaging 30.4 points per game, and they are going to have no issue running up the score in this game. Don’t be shocked if the Chiefs score a defensive touchdown here on a pick-6.
