The Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints face off on Sunday in an NFL showdown at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. When these two teams faced off in 2020 it was the Raiders that secured the 34-24 victory.

The offense put up 38 points against the Houston Texans and that was enough to secure the 18 point victory. Josh Jacobs had another big game, finishing with 20 carries for 143 yards and three touchdowns. The Raiders are averaging 27.2 points, while their defense is giving up 25 points per game. The offense is ranked 3rd in the league, the defense just hasn’t been good enough for them to have consistent success.
On the other side of this matchup is the Saints, who sit with a 2-5 record overall, and they have lost two games in a row. In the last game against the Arizona Cardinals, the defense again was awful, giving up 42 points. Quarterback Andy Dalton looked decent, but turnovers were an issue. Dalton completed 30 of his 47 passes for 361 yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions. The Saints are averaging 25 points, while their defense is giving up 28.6 points per game. In this game, the defense is going to need to be good. With Dalton under center, they probably don't want to get into a shootout here, or this could be a long game.
