The Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans face off on Sunday in a Week 7 NFL showdown at Nissan Stadium. When these two teams faced off on October 2nd it was the Titans that secured the 24-17 victory.
The Colts come into this game with a 3-2-1 record overall, and they are coming off a big win in their last game. The Colts scored 34 points against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and that was enough for the seven-point victory. Matt Ryan completed 42 of his 58 passes for 389 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. The Colts are averaging 17.2 points, while their defense is giving up 20.2 points per game. Running back Jonathan Taylor has missed the last couple of games with an ankle injury, but it’s expected that he will be back in this game.
On the other side of this matchup is the Titans, who sit with a 3-2 record overall, and they have won three games in a row. In the last game against the Washington Commanders, they scored a touchdown in each of the first three quarters. Ryan Tannehill completed 15 of his 25 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown. Derrick Henry rushed 28 times for 102 yards, and two touchdowns. The Titans are averaging 19.2 points, while their defense is giving up 23.6 points per game. The offense is ranked 21st in the league.
The Colts are 3-0-1 against the spread in their last four games following a bye week. The Titans are 5-1-1 against the spread in their last seven games following a bye week. The over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings played between the two teams. The road team is 7-1 against the spread in the last eight meetings played between the two teams.
When these two teams faced off on October 2nd, it was the Titans that won by seven points, and they will find the success again in this game. Even though Matt Ryan looked better in the last game, I’m still not sold on him being the answer for this Colts team. Ryan is going to struggle here, and the Titans will cover the spread.
Shane’s Pick Titans -2.5
