The Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens face off on Sunday in a Week 7 NFL showdown at M&T Bank Stadium. When these two teams faced off in 2021 it was the Browns that secured the 24-22 victory. 

The Browns come into this game with a 2-4 record overall, and they have lost three games in a row. In the last game against the New England Patriots, the defense was awful, giving up 38 points, and that led to the blowout loss. Quarterback Jacob Brissett struggled, and he completed 21 of his 45 passes for 266 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Nick Chubb rushed 12 times for 56 yards. The Browns' offense has been good, but the defense has been an issue. They are giving up 27.2 points per game, which is 29th in the league. Jadeveon Clowney is dealing with an ankle injury, and it’s unclear if he’s going to be able to go. In this game, the defense needs to be good.

On the other side of this matchup is the Ravens, who sit with a 3-3 record, but they are coming off a loss in the last game. The Ravens were outscored 14-7 against the New York Giants, and that led to the four-point loss. Lamar Jackson completed 17 of his 32 passes for 210 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The Ravens are an elite offensive team, averaging 26.3 points per game, which is 5th best in the league. The defense has struggled, and they are giving up 23.5 points per game. Tight end Mark Andrews is dealing with a knee injury, and it’s unclear if he will be able to go in this game. 

The Browns are 9-23 against the spread in their last 32 games against the AFC. The Ravens are 1-3-1 against the spread in their last five games. The Browns are 0-5 in their last five meetings against the Ravens. 

The Browns defense is awful, and the Ravens are going to run up the score. The Browns gave up 38 points in their last game, and they are going to be lit up by Lamar Jackson. Problems are going to be a problem for Brissett and that is going to be the difference as the Ravens are going to get the job done. Back the Ravens against the spread.
