The Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals face off on Sunday in a Week 7 NFL showdown at Paul Brown Stadium. When these two teams faced off in 2018 it was Cincinnati that secured the 37-36 victory.
The Falcons come into this game with a 3-3 record overall, and they are coming off a big win in the last game. The defense gave up only 14 points to the San Francisco 49ers, and that was enough to secure the victory. The defense was strong, finishing with two interceptions, and it’s going to be important the defense is good again here. Marcus Mariota completed 13 of his 14 passes for 129 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The Falcons are averaging 24.3 points, while their defense is giving up 22.7 points per game.
On the other side of this matchup is the Bengals who sit with a 3-3 record overall, and they are coming off a victory in their last game. The Bengals scored 30 points and that was enough to win by four points over the New Orleans Saints. Joe Burrow completed 28 of his 37 passes for 300 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Ja’Marr Chase caught seven passes for 132 yards, and two touchdowns. The Bengals are averaging 23 points, while their defense is giving up 19.2 points per game.
The Falcons are 5-1 in their last six games in October. The Bengals are 5-1 against the spread in their last six home games. The under is 4-0 in the Falcons last four games in October. The under is 4-0 in the Bengals last four home games. The Under is 4-1 in Bengals last 5 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
The Falcons are getting too many points here. The turnovers at times for Burrow have been an issue, and that will let them down here. The Falcons finished the last game by forcing two interceptions. The Falcons might not do enough to win this game, but they will cover this spread. This is one of my favorite plays on the entire board for Sunday.
