The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Indianapolis Colts face off on Sunday in a Week 6 NFL showdown at Lucas Oil Stadium. These two teams faced off on September 18th it was the Jaguars that secured the 24-0 victory.
The Jaguars come into this game with a 2-3 record overall and they are coming off a disappointing loss in their last game. The Jaguars' offense only managed six points against the Houston Texans, and that led to the seven-point defeat. Trevor Lawrence made some key mistakes that really cost the team. He completed 25 of his 47 passes for 286 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions. One bright spot was Travis Etienne Jr who finished with 10 rushes for 71 yards. The Jaguars are averaging 22.2 points while their defense is giving up 16 points per game. Wide receiver Zay Jones is dealing with an injury and it’s unclear his status for this game.
On the other side of this matchup is the Colts who sit with a 2-2-1 record overall and they are coming off an overtime win over the Denver Broncos. Even though they won, Matt Ryan didn’t look that good and finished with two interceptions. The offense only scored 12 points, and they need to find a way to get the offense going here. Wide receiver Alec Pierce caught eight passes for 81 yards. The Colts are averaging 13.8 points while their defense is giving up 18.8 points per game.
Jacksonville is 8-20 against the spread in their last 28 games in October. The Colts are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games against the AFC. The Jaguars are 13-2-1 against the spread in their last 16 games against the Colts. The under is 4-0 in the last four meetings played between the Jaguars and Colts.
Trusting either of these quarterbacks is tough, and I do expect both of these offenses are going to really struggle to score in this game. The Colts only scored 12 points in their last game, and they will finish under that in this game. Lawrence will struggle again too and this game will stay under the total. Back the under to cash.
