The Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks face off on Sunday in an NFC West showdown at Lumen Field. When these two teams faced off on January 9th it was the Seahawks that won 38-30.

The Arizona Cardinals currently sit with a 2-3 record overall but they are coming off a loss in their last game. The Cardinals were down 14-10 at halftime to the Philadelphia Eagles, but they couldn’t do enough in the second half and lost 20-17. Kyler Murray completed 28 of his 42 passes for 250 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The Cardinals offense is averaging 21 points while their defense is giving up 24.6 points per game. Running back James Conner is dealing with a rib injury and isn’t expected to go in this game.

On the other side of this matchup is the Seattle Seahawks who sit with a 2-3 record overall but they have been a lot more competitive this season than anyone really expected. In the last game against the New Orleans Saints the defense struggled giving up 39 points but the offense scored 32 points. Geno Smith had a big game completing 16 of his 25 passes for 268 yards and three touchdowns. Kenneth Walker III is the new starting running back and he finished with eight carries for 88 yards. The Seahawks are averaging 35.4 points while their defense is giving up 30.8 points per game.

The Cardinals are 20-7-2 against the spread in their last 29 road games. The Seahawks are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games in October. The Seahawks are 7-15 against the spread in their last 22 games against the NFC. The Cardinals are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven meetings in Seattle.

This is a high number for a total, but I still think it goes over. Geno Smith has proven to be a strong quarterback for the Seahawks, but their defense is an issue and that will lead to plenty of scoring by the Seahawks. This is a game where it wouldn’t shock me if both teams scored 30 points. Back the over to cash here.
