The Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts face off on Sunday in a Week 3 NFL showdown at Lucas Oil Stadium. When these two teams faced off in October of 2019 it was the Colts that secured the 19-13 victory.
The Chiefs come into this game with a 2-0 record overall and that includes wins over the Arizona Cardinals and the Los Angeles Chargers. In the last game against the Chargers, the offense scored 27 points and that was enough to secure the three-point win. Patrick Mahomes completed 24 of his 35 passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns. Clyde Edwards-Helaire also had a big game finishing with eight carries for 74 yards. Travis Kelce caught five passes for 51 yards. In this game the defense is going to need to be good, and if that’s the case the Chiefs will be in good shape.
On the other side of this matchup is the Colts who have struggled this season and they sit with one loss and draw. In the last game against the Jacksonville Jaguars the offense couldn’t get on the board and that led to the 24-0 defeat, Matt Ryan was brought in to try and lead the team to the Super Bowl, but in the last game, he completed 16 of his 30 passes for 195 yards, zero touchdowns, and three interceptions. Jonathan Taylor only had nine carries and he needs to have more runs in this game, if they want any chance to keep this game close.
The Chiefs are 5-0 against the spread in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. The Colts are 6-2 against the spread in their last 8 games following an against the spread loss.
The Colts still have quarterback issues, and Matt Ryan is going to continue to turnover the ball here against the Chiefs. Look for the Chiefs led offense to again find success scoring, and this game is going to get out of hand early. The Colts are going ot have issues getting to even 10 points, and this game is going to be an easy blowout victory. Back the Chiefs against the spread to cash here.
