The Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins face off on Saturday in an NFL preseason game at Hard Rock Stadium. These two teams were supposed to face off in August of 2020 but the game ended up canceled.
The Eagles hope that they have their quarterback in the future in Jalen Hurts and he looked good in his first appearance of the preseason during the first game against the Philadelphia Eagles. In the first game of the preseason against the New York Jets, the Eagles were defeated 24-21. In the last game against the Cleveland Browns, the Eagles scored 21 points and they won by a point. Gardner Minshew has the backup quarterback spot and in the last game he completed 14 of his 17 passes for 142 yards. Reid Sinnett also completed 4 of his 9 passes for 69 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Deon Cain had five catches for 66 yards.
On the other side of this matchup is the Miami Dolphins and they have gone 1-1 so far during the preseason. In the first game of the season, the Dolphins beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 26-24. In the last game against the Las Vegas Raiders, the offense wasn’t as good and they were defeated 15-13. Teddy Bridgewater completed 10 of his 20 passes for 119 yards. Skylar Thompson completed 9 of his 10 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown. Tua Tagovailoa completed 6 of his 8 passes for 58 yards
Philadelphia is 1-3-1 against the spread in their last five games. The Dophins are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games on Saturday. The under is 4-1 in the Eagles last five road games. The underdog is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between the Dolphins and Eagles.
In the last game, the Dolphins struggled to score and I expect that is going to be the case again in this game. I also expect a lot of running by both teams in this game, and this game is going to go under the total. Back the under to cash here.
