The Arizona Cardinals and Tennessee Titans face off on Saturday in an NFL preseason game at Nissan Stadium. When these two teams faced off in September of 2021 it was the Cardinals that secured the 38-13 victory.
The Cardinals have high expectations for this season but so far this preseason they haven’t played a ton of starters. In the first game of the preseason, the Cardinals beat the Cincinnati Bengals 36-23 and in the last game they lost to the Baltimore Ravens 24-17. Trace McSorley played the most under center in the last game throwing for 229 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions. Victor Bolden Jr also caught five passes for 66 yards. Andy Isabella also caught five passes for 54 yards. The defense didn’t look great in the last game, and they need the defense to be better in this game.
On the other side of this matchup is the Titans who have gone 1-1 so far this season. In the first game of the preseason, the Titans lost to the Baltimore Ravens 23-10. In the last game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the defense was elite giving up only three points and that led to the 13-3 victory. Quarterback Malik Willis completed 7 of his 17 passes for 80 yards and a touchdown. Willis also rushed five times for 42 yards. Logan Woodside completed 7 of his 11 passes for 56 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. Running back Reggie Robinson Jr had four catches for 47 yards.
The Cardinals are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games overall. The Titans are 3-8 against the spread in their last 11 games on Saturday. The under is 4-1 in the last five meetings between the Cardinals and Titans. Arizona is 5-0 against the spread in their last five meetings against Tennessee.
The Titans offense struggled in the last game, and I expect Arizona is going to lock down in this game. Look for Willis to have a strong game against the Cardinals defense, and Tennessee is going to find success in this game. Back the Cardinals against the spread.
