The Indianapolis Colts will visit the Buffalo Bills on Saturday afternoon in this AFC East vs AFC South preseason matchup. This will take place at New Era Field in Orchard Park and this will be the preseason opener for both teams. It’s expected to be a partly cloudy 78 degree day.
The Indianapolis Colts went 9-8 last season but missed the playoffs after giving it up by losing the last two games. With a new QB, they replaced Carson Wentz with Matt Ryan from Atlanta. The Colts did not have a first-round pick in the 2022 draft and used their top pick in the second round on wide receiver Alec Pierce from Cincinnati.
Last season the Indianapolis Colts averaged 347 yards on offense and 343.2 yards given up on defense.
The Colts depth chart at quarterback has Nick Foles, Sam Ellinger, and Jack Coan.
The Buffalo Bills had a great year last season. They went 11-6, won the AFC East, and blew out the Patriots in the Wild Card round 47-17. They were one overtime play away from beating the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round.
They are bringing back a ton of thor core lead by starting QB Josh Allen. He will not be playing in this pre-season match up. Case Keenum and Matt Barkely are within this depth chart. They added Kaiir Elam, a cornerback from Florida in the first round of the NFL Draft and RB James Cook from Georgia in the second round this offseason.
Last season the Buffalo Bills averaged 381.9 yards on offense and 272.8 yards given up on defense.
The Under is 5-0 in Colts last 5 games overall and is 4-0 in Colts last 4 vs. AFC. The Over is 5-2 in Bills last 7 games overall and is 5-2 in Bills last 7 vs. AFC.
The Home team is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings. The Bills are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games on turf and are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 home games. The Bills are also 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
I like the Bills here as Buffalo had a better draft and are making their first-round pick Kaiir Elam.
