The Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens face off on Sunday in a Week 16 NFL showdown at Paul Brown Stadium. When these two teams faced off on October 24 it was the Bengals that won 41-17.
The Baltimore Ravens come into this game with an 8-6 record and they have gone 7-7 against the spread. After such a strong start to the season, the Ravens have been really struggling losing three games in a row. In the last game against the Packers they were competitive but a failed two-point conversion late in the game cost them. The Ravens are averaging 23.9 points while their defense is giving up 22.5 points per game. Lamar Jackson missed the last game with an ankle injury and it’s unclear if he will be able to go. If he can’t go it will be Tyler Huntley who will get the start and he looked good in the last game throwing for 215 yards and two touchdowns.
On the other side of this matchup is the Cincinnati Bengals who sit with an 8-6 record overall and they have gone 7-7 against the spread. In the last game against the Broncos the offense only scored 15 points, but the defense locked down giving up only 10 points. The Bengals are averaging 26.4 points while their defense is giving up 21.64 points per game. Quarterback Joe Burrow has thrown for 3,640 yards, 26 touchdowns, 14 interceptions.
The Ravens are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games against a team with a winning record. The Bengals are 13-3 against the spread in their last 16 games in Week 16. The under is 5-1 in the Ravens last six road games. The over is 4-1 in the Bengals last five games as a favorite. The road team is 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings.
I’m not all that concerned about who is starting for the Ravens, they are going to find success in this game. Look for Baltimore to find success moving the ball, and the Bengals aren’t going to be running up the score. The road team has dominated this series and that will continue with this matchup. Back Baltimore against the spread.
