The Arizona Cardinals will play host to the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday from Glendale, Arizona in this Christmas day matchup.
The Cardinals are coming off of an embarrassing loss to one of the worst, if not the worst team in football, the Detroit Lions. Kyler Murray was 23 of 41 for 257 yards with a touchdown and an interception, with a 72.9 passer rating.
The Cardinals had the best record in the league before this matchup. Kyler Murray has thrown for 3,039 yards for 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He has a QBR of 56.2 as the end of the season has been rocky for the Cardinals compared to their great start.
The Cardinals offense averages 376.4 yards a game which is 9th in the league. They are scoring 27 points per game as they give up 322.8 yards and 20.3 points per game to their opponents.
The Colts have been putting together an impressive end to their season. They are looking to grab a third straight win after a decisive 27-17 home win over the Patriots in their last game. Carson Wentz went 5 for 12 for 57 passing yards, one passing touchdown, and 1 interception. He had a QBR of 36.7.
Jonathan Taylor continues to be the brightest star for this offense. The 22-year old RB has rushed for over 130 yards in five out of his last six games. Taylor has 1518 rushing yards on the season. Carson Wentz is reasserting his place in the league as he has thrown for 3,005 yards with 27 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.
The Colts offense averages 361.4 yards a game which is 13th in the league. They are scoring 28.4 points per game as they give up 343.7 yards and 21.4 points per game to their opponents.
The Colts are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as a road underdog and are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Cardinals are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Saturday games and are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. The Colts seem to be the hotter team at the moment. The loss of Hopkins didn’t seem like much of a problem, but it showed last week as Murray had no deep threat nor could he run. The Colts should be able to exploit this as well as run up the scoreboard themselves. I like the Colts to get the win in this one.
