The Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans face off on Sunday in an NFL showdown at Nissan Stadium. When these two teams faced off on October 10th, it was the Titans that came away with the 37-19 victory.
Trevor Lawrence actually looked decent in that game throwing for 273 yards, one touchdown, and one interceptions. Even though Lawrence played decently, the offense still didn't score enough to put up the points.
The Jaguars come into this game with a 2-10 record overall and they have gone 4-8 against the spread. In the last game against the Rams they looked terrible giving up 37 points and that led to the 30 point defeat. There was a ton of hype surrounding Lawrence coming into the season but he just hasn’t lived up to the expectations. Lawrence has thrown for 2,514 yards, nine touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. In this game they are going to need Lawrence to do a better job of not turning the ball over.
On the other side of this matchup is the Tennessee Titans who sit with an 8-4 record overall and they have gone 7-5 against the spread. Coming into this game the TItans have struggled including losing two games in a row. In the last game against the Patriots the defense really struggled giving up 36 points and that led to the loss. The Titans are averaging only 25.3 points per game while their defense is giving up 24.2 points per game. Not having Derrick Henry has been a big loss for the team. D’Onta Foreman is the top rusher that is back rushing for 193 yards and a touchdown.
The Jaguars are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games against the AFC. The Titans are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games against the AFC. The over is 5-1 in the last six meetings played between the two teams.
The Jaguars have been awful this year, and they are going to struggle again in this game. Look for Lawrence to struggle in this game, and that is going to be the difference in this game. Back the Titans against the spread.
