The New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills face off in an NFL showdown on Monday Night Football at Bills Stadium. There is a chance for rain showers which could have an impact on this game. 

The New England Patriots come into this game with an 8-4 record overall and they have gone 8-4 against the spread. The Patriots have won six games in a row including the last game against the Tennessee Titans where they won 36-13. The Patriots are averaging 28 points per game while their defense is giving up 15.8 points per game. The Patriots are led by Mac Jones who has thrown for 2,850 yards, 16 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Kendrick Bourne has been playing well the last few weeks. On the season he has caught 42 passes for 623 yards, and five touchdowns. This is a tough place to play and Jones is going to need to have a big game and it will be important that he doesn’t turn the ball over.

On the other side of this matchup is the Buffalo Bills who sit with a 7-4 record and they have gone 6-4-1 against the spread. The last month the Bills have been up and down but they are coming off a big win. The Bills offense scored 31 points and their defense only gave up six points on the way to the victory. The Bills are averaging 29.6 points while their defense is giving up 16.5 points per game. Under center for the Bills is Josh Allen who has thrown for 3,071 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Devin Singletary has been the top back rushing for 459 yards and two touchdowns. Stefon Diggs is having a big season catching 67 passes for 847 yards and seven touchdowns. 

The Patriots are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games following an against the spread win. The Patriots are 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six games in December. The over is 5-0 in the Patriots last five games against the AFC. 

Even on the road, I’m not betting against the Patriots. Mac Jones already looks like a veteran and he is going to find success again in this game. I also expect the Patriots are going to slow down Josh Allen, and the Patriots are going to get the job done. Back the Patriots on the money line.
