The Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints face off in an NFL showdown on Thanksgiving night at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. When these two teams faced off in 2017, the Saints came away with the 27-10 victory.
The Bills come into this game with a 6-4 record overall and they have gone 5-4-1 against the spread. Early in the season the Bills looked like one of the best teams in the NFL, but now there are a ton of question marks surrounding this team. A few weeks ago, the Bills lost to the Jaguars 9-6 and in the last game against the Colts they lost 41-15. Josh Allen threw two interceptions. The biggest issue with this Bills team has been their inconsistency. The Bills are averaging 29.5 points while their defense is giving up 17.6 points per game. Allen has thrown for 2,811 yards, 21 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He has also rushed for 340 yards and three touchdowns.
On the other side of this matchup is the New Orleans Saints who sit with a 5-5 record overall and they have gone 5-5 against the spread. The Saints however seem to be heading in the wrong direction losing three straight games. In the last game the defense was a big issue giving up 40 points, and that led to the 11 point defeat Saints quarterback Trevor Sieman also had some issues throwing for 214 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. The Saints are averaging 25.1 points while their defense is giving up 21.8 points per game. It appears that Sieman will again get the start in this game.and he can’t be turning the ball over or there will be a problem.
The Bills are 4-0-1 against the spread in their last five games following an against the spread loss. The Saints are 6-0 against the spread in their lsat six games following an against the spread loss. The Bills are 0-5 against the spread in their last five games against the Saints.
Even though I really don’t trust the Bills, the Saints have some clear issues right now, and their quarterback position isn’t the answer. Look for the Bills to find offensive success, and the Saints defense won’t have any answer. Back the Bills against the spread.
