Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills: 11/21/21 NFL Picks and Predictions
The Indianapolis Colts and Buffalo Bills face off on Sunday in a key AFC showdown at Bills Stadium. When these two teams faced off in January it was the Bills that came away with the 27-24 victory.
The Colts got out to a very slow start to the season, but they are playing a lot better as of late having won two games in a row. In the last game against the Jaguars the Colts won by six points. The Colts are averaging 26.8 points per game while their defense is giving up 23 points per game. Under center for the Colts is Carson Wentz who has thrown for 2,378 yards, 17 touchdowns, and three interceptions. Jonathan Taylor has become one of the best running backs in the NFL and he has rushed for 937 yards and nine touchdowns. The Colts are pretty banged up but it looks like center Quenton Nelson will be available for this game.
On the other side of this matchup is the Buffalo Bills who sit with a 6-3 record overall but there are clearly some issues with this team. This is the same Bills team that beat the Jaguars by only three points two games ago, and in that game they only scored nine points. The Bills are averaging 31.1 points while their defense has given up only 15 points total. The Bills are ranked second with their offense and the defense is second-ranked. Josh Allen on the season has thrown for 2,602 yards 19 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Stefon Diggs is having another big season out wide catching 56 passes for 750 yards and four touchdowns.
The Colts are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games played in Week 11. The Bills are 10-2-1 against the spread in their last 13 games in November. The Colts are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games following an against the spread loss.
I don’t trust this Bills team, and the Colts offense has proven they are good. I expect a big game from Carson Wentz, and even if this game gets into a shootout, the Colts will find enough offensive success. The Colts are going to cover the spread, and throwing a few dollars on the money line isn’t the worst idea.
