The winless Detroit Lions will look to pull off the road upset against the Browns in Cleveland. The Lions have lost 8 games this season and finished in a tie last week. The Browns are .500 going into this week 11 matchup.
Detroit is coming off of a draw against the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday as a six-point road underdogs. Jared Goff struggled as he completed 14 of 25 pass attempts for 114 yards.
The Lions are ranked 28th in the league with 319.4 total yards per game to go along with being 29th in the league scoring just 16.7 points per game. Detroit's defense is also ranked in the bottom fifth of the league as opponents are scoring 28.9 points and 397.8 yards per game.
Jared Goff is having a disaster of a season. Goff has completed 220 of 330 passes for just 8 touchdowns to 6 interceptions. He also has fumbled 7 times and lost 4 of them.
Cleveland got smacked up by the Patriots 45-7 in their last time out. Quarterback Baker Mayfield struggled before leaving with a knee injury. He completed 11 of 21 passes for 73 yards, one touchdown and one interception. The Browns were outgained 452-217. Baker is probable for Sunday along with top wideout Jarvis Landry.
Cleveland has not met expectations this season and have had internal drama after releasing star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. They have two games against the Ravens in the final weeks of the season so it doesn’t get any easier after this. This is a must win for the Browns before competition ramps up. A wake up call if you will.
Lions are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game. The Browns are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games. This spread feels too large for a team that has an injured QB and drama. The Lions have issues of their own, but aren’t expected to do much. They can keep this one within the points as Cleveland is only focused on leaving with the win. I’ll take the points with the Browns in this one.
